Manchester comes alive a Christmas time, with bustling streets, copious amounts of decorations and of course, the widely renowned Manchester Christmas Markets. With an array of over 300 market stalls, offering food, gifts, toys, crafts, jewellery and more, it is an ideal time to stock up on alternative presents… and a mug of mulled wine too! The markets will open from 14th November to 21st December 2015.
Disney On Ice returns to the Manchester Arena for their Worlds of Enchantment tour – 14th to 18th October 2015. This year’s tour sees the inclusion of characters from the much loved Frozen film. Be prepared to wrap up and be wowed by the skaters prowess on the ice!
What better way for families to get into the Christmas mood than to take a journey on the Santa Special, run on the East Lancashire Railway. Chugging along on a steam train, children will be mesmerised when Santa himself pays a visit through the carriages to deliver gifts. Adults can indulge in a mince pie and festive tipple whilst the steam train meanders through the Lancastrian countryside. Tickets can be purchased from the ELR site – the trains run on selected days from 28th November to 24th December 2015.
Manchester’s largest indoor Christmas theme park, will once again be returning to Event City at the Trafford Centre from 12th December 2015 – 3rd January 2016. With more than 40 family rides and attractions for families to enjoy, Winter Wonderland Manchester have announced that there will also be new rides for 2015! Tickets can be purchased directly from the Winter Wonderland Manchester site.
